New Again — The Lab
New Again
OCTOBER 28, 2026 — FIRST NOTE
I want this place to stay new. Not old. Not stuck.
AI, robotics, the future — it is coming, and I am not afraid of it. A machine can learn a pattern. It cannot live a life. It cannot sit with a song until the song tells the truth.
So here is how I see it: let the technology do the heavy lifting, so the artist can do the living. New again every second. That is the work.
This spot will change when I have something real to say about what is new — a tool, a robot, a future idea, and what it means for making art. One thing at a time. No noise.
New Again
OCTOBER 30, 2026
Legs that can go anywhere.
A son built his dad — who has lived with MS for 20 years — a chair on a robot dog. Wheels when the ground is smooth, legs when it is not. Stairs, rocks, hills.
“Now we can go anywhere.”
That is the kind of new technology I want to watch: not a robot to replace a person, but legs to give a person back the places they lost.
The Lab
The Lab is the longer room. Short notes live above. Longer thinking lives here, when it is ready.
For now: music, painting, and writing first. Technology second, in service of the first. If a new tool helps me make something true, it belongs here. If it only makes noise, it does not.
Talk about it in the Slow Room — same house, out loud.
